Have you seen the new covers for A Time Apart and Keeper of My Soul?
It's a departure from the original tone I set out to achieve when I launched them, but after talking with a handful of book bloggers who read each and reviewed them, I realized maybe my marketing didn't quite match up to expectations. The thing that surprised me most was that people seemed shocked I didn't focus more on William since the books are, after all, the Macauley Vampire Series.
Ultimately, after several conversations with some people whose ideas and input I value greatly, I came up with a whole new launch plan. My audience for these books has been so small that I don't feel bad trying to capture more interest. Keep your fingers crossed I can make a splash and that others fall in love with William and Olivia as much as my current fans already have.
(PS: I debated whether or not to even write this post, but I'm a big proponent of transparency and while it might make me look like an eejit to have launched a series one way only to rebrand it a year later, this whole world of indie publishing operates on a huge learning curve, and what I know now is miles and miles ahead of what I did when I started. Basically, please be kind. I'm an evolution in progress.)
