The River Hill Series

Co-Written by Rebecca Norinne and Jamaila Brinkley

With movie roles for "curvy best friend" drying up fast, actress Angelica Travis is happy to be leaving Hollywood behind for a project she's truly passionate about: renovating an historic bed and breakfast in peaceful wine country. She's got plans and power tools ready, but an inconvenient attraction to her obnoxious new neighbor is NOT on the agenda.

Winemaker Noah Bradstone wants nothing more than to cultivate his grapes and win awards for his wine. But when construction on the B&B next door threatens his vines, Noah goes on a rampage - and comes up hard against the sexiest starlet he's ever seen. Exactly the sort of woman he's vowed never to get involved with again.

Angelica and Noah might be able to resolve their differences over a glass of some very fine wine but when her opportunity at breakout stardom comes calling, all bets are off.

Iain Brennan is the black sheep of the Brennans. Irish whiskey royalty has no place in Northern California, but here he is, doing his best to negotiate new distribution deals for his family’s product. Wine country is an unlikely place to base a whiskey empire, but Iain’s just reckless enough to give it a shot.

Naomi Tate has spent the last ten years ignoring her society family as much as possible and building a career as a renowned sculptor. She’s found her place in River Hill, but she has no interest in dipping her toes into the commitment pool. Just the idea of forever gives her hives. Which makes a rootless Irish wanderer the perfect fling. And shocking her mother? Just a bonus.

But as hot summer nights turn into lazy autumn mornings, Naomi and Iain realize that they’re getting close to something neither of them wants: love. When Naomi discovers that Iain’s not quite as rootless as he seems, she’ll have to make some tough decisions. And when the Brennans and the Tates descend en masse to collect their prodigal children, River Hill may never be the same.

After tragedy struck, Sean Amory left life as a record executive in LA to go back to his roots. He’s come home to River Hill to work in his family’s bakery, reliving his youth while he decides what to do with his life. Somehow, the warm ovens and fresh dough are soothing his raw edges – and the gorgeous woman he sees jogging past every morning as he opens up the shop is having another effect entirely.

Jess Estes-Moore’s former life as a beauty queen led to her current gig as a lifestyle consultant for every local TV station in northern California – but it also means she hasn’t eaten bread since she was fourteen. But smelling the stuff won’t ruin her career, so she makes a point to route her morning run past River Hill’s best-smelling site: The Breadery. When she meets the handsome baker inside, sparks fly and cupcakes get… frosted.

Jess and Sean are made for each other – but when his past rears its ugly head and her future comes calling, they’ll have to work out just what they’re ready to give to get everything.

The Hollow Bean serves River Hill’s finest coffee, but its newest barista isn’t quite making the grade. Ben Worthington’s career as a lawyer hasn’t made him happy. In fact, it hasn’t made him anything but stressed. So he’s come to River Hill, where his oldest friend lives, to relax and figure out where his life went wrong. A job at the local coffee shop to keep himself busy and pay the rent on the cheapest apartment he can find is the perfect setup, but it turns out he forgot one thing: he has no idea how to make coffee.

Claire Robertson is the nicest person in River Hill. She fosters kittens, teaches preschool, and volunteers virtually everywhere. When she’s served a cup of coffee so bad that she has no choice but swallow her guilt and actually send it back, she’s horrified to discover that the barista who made it is a) in danger of losing his job and b) the sexiest man she’s ever met. Not even her standard 30% tip for terrible service can save this situation.

Between them, Ben and Claire can probably salvage his job and her conscience, but coping with the growing attraction between them is something else. Add in complications from everything from cats to corporate law, and when crunch time comes, they’ll have to decide exactly what’s worth saving.

Max Vergaras is River Hill’s hottest chef, and the incredible things he does with food are getting noticed all over California. He’s on track to win a James Beard award, and investors are clamoring to have him open another restaurant – or three. But he’s focused on just one thing: his eight-year-old niece, recently orphaned and put under his care. Restaurant hours don’t make for the best parenting opportunities, and he’s running himself ragged trying to keep up with his newest menu, Mia's schoolwork, and the social services caseworker assigned to them - who also happens to be the most attractive woman he’s ever met.

Elizabeth Teague has a job to do. She can’t get distracted by one case; she’s got kids to help all over the county. But little Mia's uncle is the sexiest chef she’s ever seen, and he’s got a way with food that has her thinking about things that definitely aren’t on the menu. If she gives in to the temptation that Max represents, they both have everything to lose. But what if it’s possible that they could gain even more?
